Real estate pushes down ADX in week

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The general index of the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange declined by 41.45 points, or 0.82%, to 5,027.96 points in a week, pressured by the real estate sector.

The real estate sector lost 5.64%, as Aldar Properties shed 6.13%, while the banking sector decreased by 0.58% after Commercial Bank International dropped 10% and First Abu Dhabi Bank sank 4.96%.

The telecom sector shrank by 0.24%, as Sudatel and Etisalat plunged 4.37% and 2.06%, respectively.

The energy sector went down by 0.34% after Taqa lost 2.08% and Dana Gas levelled down 0.53%.
