Real estate stocks lead DFM to open higher

Dubai-Mubasher: Dubai Financial Market (DFM) saw a positive performance in Tuesday’s early trades.

The DFMGI rose 0.8% or 26.6 points to reach 3,407.13 points by 10:25am UAE time.

The UAE equities are likely to continue their winning streak on Tuesday amid oil price recovery, analysts previously told Mubasher.

Sector-wise, telecom topped gainers after adding 2.5%.

Also, the real estate sector advanced 1.6%, backed by Arabtec Holding and Emaar Properties as they went higher 2.9% and 1.5%, respectively.

The banks sector increased 0.4% due to a 1.09% rise in Dubai Islamic Bank (DIB).

The market saw trading of 120.13 million shares through 1,379 transactions, with turnover of AED 140.9 million.
