Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) ended Monday's trading session in the green, supported by the growth of blue chips especially in the real estate and banks sectors.
The general index levelled up 0.2% or 8.64 points to reach 4,229.65 points.
The real estate sector went up 1.7% as Aldar Properties rose 0.8%.
The energy sector increased 1.1% after Dana Gas climbed 1.9%. The banks sector grew due to a rise in First Gulf Bank (FGB) and Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB) by 0.4% and 0.34% respectively.
Turnover reached AED 423.78 million on Monday, compared to AED 423.794 million on Sunday. Trading volume stood at 287.91 million shares, compared to 373.242 million shares.
Eshraq Properties acquired 53% of the market’s trades after generating AED 224.86 million.
On the flipside, the telecom sector fell 0.85% due to a decline in Etisalat by 0.85%.
