Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) saw a negative performance on Tuesday, dragged down by the fall of blue chips, especially in the real estate sector.
The main index slid 0.13% or 5.76 points to reach 4,546.03 points.
The real estate sector led losers with a 1.51% decline as Aldar Properties and Eshraq Properties sank 1.75% and 0.94%, respectively.
The banks sector retreated 0.14% due to a decline in Commercial Bank International (CBI) by 5.1%.
On the other hand, the energy sector rose 1.27% as Dana Gas added 2.4%.
The telecom sector increased 0.29% after Etisalat went up 0.29%.
Turnover amounted to AED 94.13 million on Tuesday, compared to AED 112.94 million on Monday. Trading volume reached 49.35 million shares, compared to 48.45 million shares.
First Abu Dhabi Bank was the value leader after generating AED 24.1 million, while Eshraq Properties was the most active stock after trading 19.2 million shares.
