Dubai – Mubasher: The Dubai Financial Market lost 37.37 points, or 1.35%, to close at 2,739.7 points on Tuesday, pressured by the real estate sector.
Market capitalisation went down to AED 365.19 billion on Tuesday, compared to AED 367.98 billion in the previous session.
The real estate sector lost 3.21%, while the investment sector shed 1.5%, the services sector sank 0.8%, the consumer staples sector levelled down by 0.41%, and the banking sector inched down 0.05%.
Emaar Properties led the DFM’s losers, dropping 4.97%, while Amlak Finance topped the market’s gainers, rising 3.41%.
Arabtec Holding, Damac Properties, and Dubai Investments declined by 3.14%, 2.55%, and 2.31%, respectively. DXB Entertainments shrank by 0.49% and Dubai Islamic Bank decreased by 0.38%.
The DFM’s trading volume reached 135.32 million shares, while the market’s liquidity amounted to AED 234.6 million.
