Dubai – Mubasher: The Dubai Financial Market’s general index went down by 34.14 points, or 1.23%, to 2,746.93 points in October on the back of the real estate sector.
The real estate sector shed 2%, as Emaar Properties dropped 3.39%, Arabtec Holdings lost 7.5%, and Deyaar Developments plunged 6.2%.
The insurance sector decreased by 5.2% after Takaful Emarat dropped 17.2%, while the consumer staples sector declined by 2% after DXB Entertainments levelled down.
On the other hand, Air Arabia surged 8.8% and DFM Company added 3.74%.
The DFM’s trading volume rose to 4.02 billion shares over the month, while the market’s liquidity declined to AED 4.155 billion
