Cairo – Mubasher: Remittances from expatriate Egyptians increased by 11.6 % year-on-year during February 2018.
Remittances stood at around $2 billion last February, versus $1.8 billion in the same month a year earlier, according to a recent statement by the Central bank of Egypt (CBE).
The CBE had previously announced that total remittances from expatriates rose by 24.1%, or $3.4 billion in the July-February period of fiscal year 2017/2018 to $17.3 billion, compared to $13.9 billion in the year-ago period.
