Riyadh - Mubasher: The Royal Commission for Makkah City and Holy Sites has awarded six targeted urban development sites in Makkah, covering a combined area of more than 2.70 million square meters (m²).
Meanwhile, the total development value of the projects stands at SAR 13.30 billion, according to a press release.
The awards form part of a broader package of qualitative projects aimed at improving quality of life and advancing sustainable urban development in the Holy Capital.
The Commission said the initiative reflects ongoing efforts to develop priority districts, enhance land-use efficiency, and upgrade the urban environment, infrastructure, and public services.
It added that the projects are expected to address existing urban challenges while opening new investment and development opportunities that support economic growth in Makkah.
The awarded sites include South Jurhum, Al Khalidiyah, and Al Hujlah, as well as East, South, and West Hindawiyah.
It is worth noting that the contracts were granted to several qualified investment and development consortiums.
