Ruble falls to lowest level in 13 months

Mubasher: The Russian ruble fell on Monday to its weakest level against foreign currencies, dragged lower by oil price decline.

In Moscow, the dollar rose RUB1.07 and stood at RUB78.67.  Euro also increased RUB0.97 to RUB85.65.

At 8:58 GMT, Brent fell to $28.52 per barrel, which is the lowest price since 2003

Russian stock indices opened today’s session at a lower note with a 2.3% decline.

Russia withdrew nearly $9.4 billion from its budget reserve to plug the worsening deficit due to oil fall.
