Mubasher: Russia expects to reach agreement with key members of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) to freeze oil production next week before the cartel’s next meeting in Vienna on 30 November, Russia's energy minister Alexander Novak said on Friday.
OPEC energy ministers will be meeting with Russian officials for informal talks on oil output in Istanbul next week.
Brent crude futures fell 0.25% to $52.3 per barrel by 1:18pm GMT.
