Russia c.bank keeps interest rates unchanged

Mubasher: Russia's central bank kept its key interest rate unchanged at 10%, according to a statement published on Friday.

The bank of Russian will consider cutting key rates starting from the first half of 2017, the statement added.

"As the trend towards a sustainable decline in consumer price growth takes root, the Bank of Russia will consider an opportunity of cutting the key rate in the first half of 2017," said the bank.

The main driver behind this decision is lower inflation rate and prices, the statement revealed, indicating that inflation stands at 6.2%.
