Russia lends Egypt $25bn for nuclear plant

Cairo-Mubasher: Russia has earmarked $25 billion as a loan to Egypt for building a nuclear power plant, according to the official Egyptian newspaper.

This announcement came in a decree by the Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah el-Sissi, regarding the credit facility which has a 3% annual interest.

The Russian loan will cover 85% of the expenses allocated for the plant's construction, while Egypt will cover the remaining 15%.
