Russia repays $1.7bn debt to Kuwait

Mubasher: The Russian finance ministry said it has repaid $1.7 billion to Kuwait as a debt secured in the Soviet era, according to Interfax News Agency.

The original debt stands at $1.1 billion, with interests of $620 million, the ministry clarified.

It is noteworthy that Russia has been repaying its debts after the Soviet era has fallen.
