Russia’s Aeroflot to resume flights to Egypt in February

Cairo – Mubasher: The Russian flagship carrier Aeroflot is planning to resume flights to Cairo by the end of February 2018, TASS Russian News Agency reported, citing the carrier’s CEO Vitaly Savelyev.

Aeroflot’s flights from Moscow to Cairo are scheduled to resume on February 3, according to MENA news agency.

On 4 January, Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a decree to resume flights between Moscow and Cairo.

In November 2015, Russia suspended all Russian flights to Egypt after a Russian passenger jet had crashed in the Sinai Peninsula, where 217 people died.
