Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt and Russia are achieving progress in their negotiations for the resumption of full-format air traffic between them, Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said, according to the Russian News Agency (TASS).
Lavrov stated that he would discuss the problem of full-format air traffic with Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry during the Russian minister visit to Egypt.
"The proper level of security remains an important prerequisite for the soonest return of Russian tourists to beautiful resorts of the Red Sea,” Lavrov added.
In November 2015, all flights between Russia and Egypt were cancelled after the crash of an A321 passenger jet owned by Russia’s Kogalymavia air carrier some 30 minutes after the takeoff from Egypt’s resort of Sharm El Sheikh.
