Cairo – Mubasher: Russian flights to Egyptian resorts are expected to be resumed in the near future, the chairman of the Russian Federation Council said.
Moscow-Cairo flights have been resumed on 11 April 2018, while other routes are forecast to be fully resumed soon, Sputnik news agency reported, citing Konstantin Kosachev as saying.
Flights between the two countries were suspended in 2015 when a Russian Airbus A321 crashed in Sinai.
Head of the Federal Agency for Tourism (Rosturizm) Oleg Safonov announced last October that Russian travel companies are ready to resume charter flights to Egyptian resorts.
