Russia unlikely to take part in June OPEC meeting - Agency

Mubasher: It is unlikely that Russia will participate in the next meeting for the Organisation of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC), reported Russian news agency TASS on Friday, citing Russian oil minister Alexander Novak.

Speaking to journalists on Friday, Novak confirmed his country's interest in meeting with OPEC members separately, if an offer was made, to restore balance to oil markets.

The Russian minister noted that he planned to meet with Saudi Arabia's new energy Minister Khaled al-Falih.

The upcoming OPEC meeting is slated for June in Vienna, Austria.
