Russian industrial zone in Egypt expected to attract $7bn investments

Cairo – Mubasher: The Russian industrial zone, to be established in Suez Canal Economic Zone, is expected to attract $7 million in new investments, the Russian ambassador in Cairo, Georgy Borisenko, said, as reported by the Middle East News Agency (MENA) on Sunday.

Dozens of Russian companies have voiced their interest to invest in this project as Egypt has become one of the top African hotspots for Russian investments due to its fast-growing economy and the new investment law, Borisenko noted.

The project will give Russian entrepreneurs the opportunity to export local products to other markets with low taxes and charges, he added.
