Russian petrochemical giant seeks investments in Saudi Arabia

Riyadh – Mubasher: Sibur Holding, Russian’s largest petrochemical company, has revealed plans to expand in Asian countries, including Saudi Arabia.

The Moscow-based firm will take its decision regarding the launch of a joint venture (JV) in Saudi Arabia by the end of the year.

Sibur is also seeking to create another JV in China, CEO Dmitry Konov said, according to Bloomberg.

“Sibur has returned to considering the possibility of a joint venture with [China Petroleum & Chemical Corp,] Sinopec, on which we signed an agreement back in 2014,” Konov added.
