Kuwait – Mubasher: Around 17 huge South Korean companies are executing infrastructure and energy projects in Kuwait, with total investments of $30 billion, Seoul’s ambassador to the GCC country Hong Youngki told the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) on Thursday.
Kuwait is South Korea’s third biggest trade partner in the Middle East, Hong Youngki added.
The ambassador stated that the most important project conducted by S. Korean companies in the Arab country is Sheikh Jaber al-Ahmad al-Sabah Causeway, which is considered one of the biggest causeways in the world.
In 2018, the number of Kuwaiti citizens visiting S. Korea increased to 3,000, Youngki revealed.
Kuwait is the second biggest energy exporter to S. Korea after Saudi Arabia, he added, announcing that bilateral trade between both countries reached $14 billion in 2018.
