SABB’s first-quarter profit rises 2.4%

Riyadh – Mubasher: Saudi British Bank (SABB) said on Tuesday it generated a net profit SAR 1.14 billion ($304.53 million), a rise of 2.42% from SAR 1.11 billion ($296 million) in the prior-year period.

The profit growth was spurred by stronger net income mainly due to an increase in net special commissions income.

The bank’s operating income reached SAR 1.796 billion, an increase of or 4.6 % compared with SAR 1.717 billion for the same period in 2015.

Loans and advances reached SAR 130 billion, up 8.0 % from SAR 120.4 billion.
