Riyadh – Mubasher: Saudi Arabian Fertilizer Company (SAFCO) has resumed commercial operations at its SAFCO 3 plant after implementing the reliability improvement project and scheduled maintenance.
The financial impact of suspending the plant amounted to SAR 123 million with a marginal increase from the amount set previously due to changes in product prices, SAFCO said in a statement to the Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) on Wednesday.
After maintenance, the plant is set to add 100,000 metric tonnes of ammonia per year to its production capacity.
In January, the Saudi fertiliser producer revealed that it would suspend operations at its SAFCO 3 unit for 117-day scheduled maintenance.
