Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Grains Organization (SAGO) has announced awarding its tender for importing an amount of 1.51 million tonnes of barley.
The imported tonnes will come from Australia, South America, the European Union, and the Black Sea, according to a statement published on the organisation's website.
Around 24 international companies specialised in the field of grain trade were invited by the organization while 23 firms enrolled to compete on the quantities offered, the director general of the organisation, Ahmed Al Faris, said.
The import tender will take place from May to June 2017 and transported through 25 shipments, the statement added.
On Thursday, the SAGO announced offering its second tender in 2017 for importing an amount of 1.5 million tonnes of feed barley.
