Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Arabia Monetary Authority (SAMA) has announced working hours for banks, remittance centres, and Saudi Arabian Riyal Interbank Express (SARIE) system during the Muslim holy month of Ramadan and the holiday of the Muslim Eid al-Fitr.
Working hours in banks during Ramadan will start from 10:00 am Saudi time until 4:00 pm, according to the Saudi central bank said in a statement.
As for remittance centres, the working hours will start from 09:30 am until 05:30 pm, while SARIE system will begin working from 10:00 am to 04:00 pm.
Working hours of SARIE will stop by the end of Monday working hours, 29 Ramadan 1440 1440 Hijri date, corresponding to 3 June, and work will be resumed on Sunday, 9 June.
Eid al-Fitr’s holiday will start by the end of Thursday working hours, 25 Ramadan 1440 Hijri date, corresponding to 30 May, and work will be resumed on 9 June, the Saudi central bank noted.
