Riyadh – Mubasher: The banking deposits of the Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority (SAMA) went up 3.26% during July 2017, compared to the year-ago period, according to the authority’s data..
The deposits reached SAR 1.63 trillion in July 2017, compared to SAR 1.58 trillion in July 2016, SAMA’s data added.
Month-on-month, the Saudi body’s banking deposits shed 0.28%.
Demand deposits grew 3.4% to SAR 997.26 billion in July 2017, from SAR 964.63 billion in the corresponding month in the year earlier.
On a monthly basis, demand deposits slightly increased 1.52%.
The bank credit volume decreased 1.1% reaching SAR 1.41 trillion in July 2017, from SAR 1.43 trillion in the same month in the year before.
