SAMA cancels annual raises, reduces expatriation allowance

Riyadh – Mubasher: Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency (SAMA) cancelled the appointment allowance and the annual raise for its employees for the year 1438 Hijri, according to Al Hayat newspaper on Sunday.

The agency also reduced the expatriation allowance to be the salary of only one month, added to no raises on contracts' renewal, extension or even recontracting.

The new measures came in accordance with the austerity policy in Saudi Arabia, despite SAMA was excluded from the civil service systems and its executive regulations for being a central bank financially and administratively independent.
