Riyadh - Mubasher: Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority’s (SAMA) net foreign assets declined by 5.6% by the end of January.
Reserve assets slightly decreased by 0.39%, as shown by SAMA’s monthly report.
Total reserve assets totalled SAR 1.85 trillion in January, compared to SAR 1.96 trillion in January 2017, and SAR 1.86 in December 2017.
Securities investments abroad went down by 9% or SAR 122.5 billion, reaching a total of SAR 1.22 trillion, compared to SAR 1.34 trillion for the same period last year.
Foreign reserves and deposits abroad has increased to SAR 596.9 billion, compared to SAR 585.9 billion in January 2017.
