Riyadh - Mubasher: The Saudi Central Bank (SAMA) recorded SAR 1.95 trillion ($517.19 billion) in total assets by the end of April 2026, marking an annual growth of 1.67% from SAR 1.91 trillion ($508.71 billion).
On a monthly basis, the total assets went down by 0.81% in April 2026, compared to SAR 1.96 trillion ($521.43 billion) in March 2026, according to SAMA’s monthly report.
Moreover, the deposits with banks abroad, which accounted for 23.67% of total assets, rose by 32.42% YoY to SAR 461.84 billion in April 2026 from SAR 348.74 billion.
Investments in foreign securities abroad also increased by 10.40% to SAR 1.08 trillion in April 2026 from SAR 986.02 billion a year earlier, representing the largest share of total assets at 55.78%.
