SAMA shows no worries about liquidity, Aramco IPO

Riyadh – Mubasher: Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority (SAMA) is monitoring banking indicators on a daily basis and is not seeing any impact on liquidity from Saudi Aramco’s initial public offering (IPO), Governor Ahmad bin Abdul Karim Al Kholifey was quoted as saying by Reuters on Sunday.

Al-Kholifey noted that he has no concerns about liquidity in the Saudi market despite the size of Aramco’s IPO.

The governor’s remarks came on the sidelines of the First Annual Conference of KSA and UAE Banks.

In five days, Aramco’s IPO already gathered SAR 72.99 billion ($19.46 billion), as shown by a recent report by the IPO’s lead manager, Sama Capital.
