Cairo – Mubasher: The Suez Canal Authority (SCA) requested an EUR 300 million loan from the National Bank of Egypt (NBE) and Banque Misr to purchase two new diggers.
The loan guarantee agreement is currently being prepared, two banking sources told Reuters on Sunday.
It is worth mentioning that the SCA signed a contract with the Dutch company Royal IHC last Tuesday to construct two custom-built heavy-duty rock cutter suction dredgers (CSDs).
