Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Securities and Commodities Authority (SCA) will issue the merger and acquisition (M&A) law within a month, Alkhaleej newspaper reported, citing the deputy CEO of SCA Obaid Saif Al Zaabi.
SCA is working on several laws and regulations to regulate the legislation and regulations of the capital markets, such as the laws of credit agencies, private-purpose companies, and blockchain, Al Zaabi added, according to the newspaper.
The authority continues its efforts to provide the suitable environment for investment in securities and promoting the national capital markets in accordance with international standards, the deputy CEO noted.
Obaid pointed out that the SCA has succeeded in upgrading local capital markets from amateur to emerging markets (EM) through creativity and non-traditional practices that serve non-bank financial activities and protect investors.
