Cairo – Mubasher: Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZone) has achieved record high revenues for the second consecutive year, head of Suez Canal Authority (SCA) and SCZone Mohab Mamish said.
SCZone generated revenues of EGP 3.69 billion in fiscal year 2018/2019, Mamish revealed in a statement.
In addition, profits of the SCZone hiked by EGP 568 million, or 35%, year-on-year to EGP 2.198 billion in the twelve-month period ended 30 June.
SCA’s board of directors approved a record budget of EGP 10.4 billion for FY19/20, the top official added.
In the coming period, new agreements will be signed with major local and international firms willing to invest in the economic zone in Ain Sokhna, Mamish noted.
