Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Development and Reconstruction Program for Yemen (SDRPY) has established a new electricity infrastructure system in the northwestern province of Hajjah, Yemen.
The newly established system will increase production capacity in the province, in addition to stabilizing the power grid, according to SDRPY’s recent statement.
It will also increase the number of beneficiaries and improve the daily life of residents in the Yemeni province.
Ahmed Modkhali, SDRPY's office director in Hajja, said that the company is working on several numerous projects in Hajja.
In April, SDRPY revealed the launch of several projects in Yemen including 11 new projects in the Midi district of Hajjah, identified as one of the Yemeni governorates most in need, supporting agriculture, water, fisheries, electricity and healthcare sectors.
The company is working on improving the economic situation in all Yemeni provinces by providing basic and vital services, improving standards of living, and creating job opportunities.
It is worth noting that other projects launched in Hajjah included solar-powered streetlights and groundwater wells, distribution of water tankers and power generators, school construction and rehabilitation, Fasht island health centre rehabilitation, construction of a fishing boat maintenance workshop, and renovations to government buildings.
