Riyadh – Mubasher: Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) has announced the building of 380-kilovolts six electricity substations to serve Haramain high-speed railway project.
These substations were constructed under up-to-date international specifications with a total cost of SAR 1.5 billion, SEC’s CEO Ziyad bin Mohammed Alshiha said.
The electrical loads of the Haramain railway equal 200 megavolt-ampere (MVA), while the total capacity of the substations that serve the project amount to 720 MVA, he added.
The new substations are located in Mecca and Medina, Alshiha revealed.
