Riyadh – Mubasher: Saudi Electricity for Project Development Co, the wholly-owned subsidiary of Saudi Electricity Company (SEC), has announced the beginning of operating a SAR 590 million power plant.
The fresh power plant will contribute to enhancing efficiency and safety of electricity sources in various regions in Riyadh, according to the Saudi state-run utility's statement on Saturday. This project is deemed part of SEC's expansion plans in all regions in the GCC nation, the firm added.
SEC last reported a loss of SAR 1.2 billion in the first three months of 2018, against posting SAR 4.9 billion in profits during Q1-17.
