SIAL exhibition records AED3.8bn deals

Abu Dhabi - Mubasher: SIAL Middle East exhibition saw a record number of deals worth AED 3.8 billion as it concluded on Wednesday at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC), according to a statement.

On the first day of the exhibition, the Emirati armed forces supply department announced that it has signed seven deals worth AED 763.5 million.

Meanwhile, Jennan Investments signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Sudanese finance ministry to establish the biggest date palm farm in the world, with a total of 221 million trees to be planted in Sudan over a 13 year period.

Jennan will also build another project for raising cattle, with investments totalling $100 million, and a production capacity of 100,000 calves per day, and an exporting capacity of 20,000 calves per month.

Etihad Airways signed a partnership agreement with Abu Dhabi’s Health Authority to offer healthier food in its restaurants as part of the Weqaya program.
