Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Telecom Company (STC) has reached an agreement with the US-based Corning Incorporated to provide the Saudi firm with fiber optics and its products.
Through this deal, STC seeks to enhance its domestic high-speed telecommunications network and deliver fiber optics to homes.
Corning Incorporated has provided the Saudi telecommunications provider with more than 1.5 million kilometres of fiber optics, according to STC’s statement.
STC is working on establishing the largest fiber optic project in the kingdom in a bid to develop its services, said senior vice president of technology and operations in STC Nasser bin Sulaiman Al Nasser.
STC is developing its services to be in line with its strategic plan to achieve the Saudi Vision 2030, Al Nasser concluded.
