STC to build largest MENA network operations centre

Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Telecom Company (STC) has started establishing the largest network operations centre in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), BroadcastPro ME reported on Sunday.

The centre will be located in King Abdulaziz Telecom Complex in Al Mursalat district in the capital Riyadh.

The kingdom’s telecom services operator forecast the centre will be completed by 2019.

The project will include operations and smart control methods for all data centres built by STC in Saudi Arabia.

“The new unit will reportedly enhance the company’s strategy for digital transformation, enabling digital services and enriching experiences of individual and corporate customers in alignment with the Kingdom’s vision 2030,” BroadcastPro ME reported, citing STC’s statement as saying.

The centre is a key investment in the future of technology in the kingdom, STC CEO Khaled Biyari said.

Biyari added that STC has embraced the state-of-the-art technology to serve both its corporate and individual customers.

“The new national network control centre is an important investment in the future of technology in our country. STC has prepared itself in the best way to serve the company’s customers both corporate and individuals,” the CEO added.
