Riyadh-Mubasher: Saudi Telecom Co. (STC), the largest telecom operator in the MENA region, will focus on the value of investments over the next period, CEO Khaled Biyari told a local newspaper.
Biyari added that the telco started to focus on the capital investments rather than the geographical ones, through investing in information service centres and new cloud computing services, Alriyadh newspaper reported.
Such businesses are related to investment in new technologies rather than expansions in the markets, the CEO said during the celebration of VIVA’s 5th anniversary.
He noted that the investments will continue, with the possibility of accessing remote areas such as the current investments in Turkey, South Africa, Indonesia and India.
