Riyadh – Mubasher: Sadara Basic Services Company, 100% owned by Sadara Chemical Company (Sadara), announced initiating planned maintenance of its mixed feed cracker on 28 December.
The unit is expected to be shut down for six months, where the three operating polyethylene trains will also be shut down, according to a bourse filing on Tuesday.
The company will take the opportunity to complete several reliability improvement projects and address scheduled preventative maintenance activities in respect of the polyethylene trains, the statement said.
Sadara said that it is conducting an evaluation of the financial impact of the shutdowns and is expected to appear on the results of the first quarter of 2017.
