Mubasher: Safwan Trading & Contracting Co., a subsidiary of Ali Abdulwahab Al Mutawa Commercial Co. (AAW), was appointed by the German pharmaceutical giant Boehringer Ingelheim (BI) as its exclusive distributor inside the Kuwaiti market.
The signing ceremony took place in AAW headquarters, in the presence of top-tier officials from Safwan and BI, including AAW chairman and CEO, Faisal Ali Al Mutawa, and Safwan’s COO officer, Dina Younan, along with other representatives, according to a press release on Wednesday.
Commenting on the agreement, AAW’s CEO, said, “This partnership enables us to further develop the pharmaceutical sector in Kuwait and continue to provide the market with new medical and pharmaceutical products.”
Meanwhile, the general manager & head of Human Pharma of GulfIP, Mazen Bachir, added that the partnership is “in line with the country’s national programme designed to ensure the continued provision of quality healthcare with the support of the private sector […] We are privileged to have the opportunity to support Kuwait towards delivering its social commitment to provide top-notch universal healthcare.”
It is noteworthy that Safwan Trading has been operating as one of the top companies in the health care business in Kuwait since 1967, recognised as a key supplier of various pharmaceuticals and equipment and supplies.
