Sahara Petrochemical posts SAR 142.7m profit in Q1

Riyadh – Mubasher: Saudi Arabia-based Sahara Petrochemical Company has reported a 1.78% year-on-year profit increase during the first quarter of 2019, recording SAR 142.7 million.

The company attributed the profit hike to the increase in the sale price of ethylene dichloride and the decline in feedstock prices, according to a bourse statement released on Wednesday.

The Tadawul-listed firm also ascribed the growth of its profit to the increase in the profit of Tasnee and Sahara Olefins Company.

Sahara Petrochemical reported a 13% year-on-year profit increase during the full-year 2018, registering SAR 500.8 million.
