Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: Sanad Aerotech, a subsidiary of Mubadala Investment Company, has concluded an agreement worth AED 500 million with GE Aviation, a subsidiary of General Electric, to provide maintenance services for Leap engines, Emirates News Agency (WAM) recently reported.
Meanwhile, Sanad Aerotech has signed a new strategic deal with GE's subsidiary to offer maintenance services for the next generation of narrow-body and wide-body aircraft.
By means of the agreement, the aerotech firm will provide performance restoration overhaul services on the GEnx-1B engine, in addition to continued time, or quick turn overhauls on CFM International’s LEAP engines for GE.
Towards 2020, the UAE-based firm will offer a full overhaul on 315 GEnx engines until 2035 as well as quick turn on 237 LEAP engines until 2030, in addition to its current maintenance and repair services.
