Riyadh – Mubasher: Saudi foreign minister Adel Al-Jubeir and his French counterpart Jean-Yves Le Drian have signed a protocol to bolster cooperation in the tourism sector, the Saudi Commission for Tourism and National Heritage said.
The protocol entails exchanging experiences in managing tourism destinations in the kingdom, in addition to developing tourist products, classifying hotels, as well as supporting cultural tourism, business, and marine activities.
Another deal was signed by Al-Jubeir and French culture minister Françoise Nyssen in an effort to enhance cooperation in the heritage sector by exchanging experiences in managing historical sites, organising exhibitions, and managing museums, according to the Saudi Commission for Tourism and National Heritage.
The main purpose of this deal is to develop handicrafts and traditional industries, train workers in the heritage activities, and organise mutual training courses, the Saudi tourism entity said.
The deals were signed on the sidelines of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman visit to France, which started on Sunday, 8 April.
