Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Commerce and Investment Ministry has signed an agreement with Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) in an effort to bolster the competitiveness of their small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the overseas markets.
The deal entails exchanging experiences, as well as collaborating in improve the SMEs’ business in line with the governing laws in the two nations, the Al Eqtisadiah newspaper reported.
The agreement also aims to enhance partnerships between the SMEs in the two Asian countries.
Over the coming period, the Saudi Small and Medium Enterprises Authority (SMEA) aims at raising its contribution to the gross domestic product (GDP) to 35% in line with Saudi Vision 2030.
