Riyadh – Mubasher: Bilateral trade between Saudi Arabia and the UK amounted to SAR 116 billion ($30.9 billion) during the previous five years, the General Authority for Statistics (GASTAT) said on Thursday.
Saudi exports to the European country reached SAR 40 billion ($10.67 billion) during 2013 to 2015, whereas the oil-rich nation's imports from the UK hit SAR 76 billion ($20.27 billion), the GASTAT added.
Metal products ranked first in Saudi exports commodities to the UK with SAR 4.98 billion ($1.33 billion), followed by plastic products with SAR 424 million ($113.07 million) during 2017.
While the UK's machinery products and their parts exports to Saudi Arabia stood at SAR 1.88 billion ($ 501 million) last year, followed by cars and their parts’ imports at a combined value of SAR 1.45 billion ($ 387 million).
