Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Armed Forces Exhibition for Diversity of Requirements and Capabilities (AFED) offers 80,000 investment opportunities at a combined value of SAR 65 billion over the coming five years, said director of the General Directorate of the Ministry of Defense's local manufacturing support Major General Attiya al-Maliki.
AFED started its fourth edition on Sunday in Riyadh, including investment opportunities in fields including manufacturing materials and spare parts.
The exhibition focuses on using the domestic facilities, implementing Saudisation in this industry, and allowing citizens to take a role in the military industry, Al-Maliki added.
There will be some Saudi companies which will sign memorandums of understanding (MoUs) with international and local firms for collaboration.
