Mubasher: Operations started in Raqa'i port, a new border crossing between Saudi Arabia and Kuwait, Al Rai newspaper reported.
Spread over 6 million square metres, the port facilitates the increased movements between the two Gulf nations.
The port was opened by Prince Saud bin Naif, governor of the Eastern Province, in the presence of other officials.
Bin Naif said the opening the port will enhance cooperation between the kingdom and Kuwait, in addition to increasing trade exchange to SAR 2 million per day instead of SAR 400,000.
