Saudi Arabia, Russia to ink 14 new deals worth $3bn - RDIF CEO

Riyadh – Mubasher: Saudi Arabia and Russia will sign 14 new agreements worth $3 billion during President Vladimir Putin’s visit to the Kingdom on Monday, Al Arabiya reported citing Kirill Dimitriev, CEO of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF).

“We believe this visit will really expedite … the number of ongoing projects that will be executed,” Dimitriev told Al Arabiya.

He added that a Russian company, which manufactures components for the oil industry, would make joint investments with Saudi Aramco in a move to create products for Russian firms and Aramco, in addition to other companies across the world.

Dimitriev noted that both countries will conduct deals in several fields including the energy and petrochemicals fields.

Moreover, Saudi SABIC and Russia are looking into several “very important” petrochemical projects, the CEO pointed out.

“We believe that in the nearest future we will finalize a number of petrochemical transactions,” Dimitriev stated.
