Riyadh – Mubasher: Saudi Arabia on Monday signed an agreement with Singaporean firm Trafigura to establish a SAR 10.5 billion ($2.8 billion) metal smelter over the coming period.
This joint venture (JV) aims to produce 400,000 tonnes of copper, 200,000 tonnes of zinc, and 55,000 tonnes of lead per annum, Reuters reported.
This project will be the first copper smelter facility in the GCC nations.
